Terms of Use (Kanji Widgets)

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the mobile application Kanji Widgets (the “App”) provided by the app operator (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the App

Kanji Widgets is a mobile app that allows users to display kanji and Japanese phrases on home screen and lock screen widgets, customize widget appearance, and manage collections and custom kanji.

2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You may use the App only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws.

You may not:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except as permitted by applicable law
• interfere with the App or related services
• use the App for unlawful purposes
• copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit app content beyond personal use without permission

3. Subscription and Payments

The App may offer free and paid features (“Pro”), including auto-renewing subscriptions.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree that:

• payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• you can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
• any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription (where applicable)

Pricing and available plans may change from time to time.

4. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple according to App Store policies, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use.

6. User Content / Custom Kanji

If the App allows you to create or save custom kanji or custom widget settings, you are responsible for the content you create and use.

You must not create or use content that violates laws or third-party rights.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services (such as analytics, subscription management, and platform services) to operate features of the App.

Your use of the App may also be subject to Apple’s terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted in the App and/or on our website, and the updated date will be revised above.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

Any disputes arising from or related to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
